How to file a Dispute

STEP 1 - GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The Consumer must go to the CIC ODRS at https://www.creditinfo.gov.ph/dispute
  2. The Consumer must read, understand, and agree to the Terms and Conditions indicated in the ODRS.
  3. The Consumer must fill-out all the relevant fields, including the TRN as it appears in the Credit Report and the same e-mail address used in obtaining the Credit Report.
  4. The Consumer must ensure that the Credit Report was drawn, accessed or obtained within thirty (30) days. If the Credit Report was drawn, accessed or obtained beyond thirty (30) days, the Consumer must obtain a new Credit Report from the CIC, and then proceed with the filing of the dispute.
  5. Any errors in filling out the ODRS form that prevents the Submitting Entity from contacting the Consumer may be the basis for the termination of the ODRS.

STEP 2 - CORRECTING OR UPDATING THE SUBJECT INFORMATION

  1. If the Consumer’s demographic information found in the Credit Report is correct and up-to-date, he/she can click the Next button to proceed to the Disputed Contract Details page.
  2. If there are corrections or updates on the Consumer’s Subject Information, the Consumer must select only the Submitting Entity/ies appearing in the Credit Report and tick the details which are found to be erroneous or outdated.

STEP 3 - FILING A DISPUTE ON THE CONTRACT DETAILS

  1. The Consumer must select the name of the institution that reported the disputed information from the dropdown list. If the dispute involves an institution that is not found in the dropdown list, the Consumer must tick the box “Entity is not in the dropdown list”. This might mean that the institution is not yet submitting its data to the CIC. The CIC will thereafter treat the transaction as a complaint.
  2. The Consumer must select the Type of Contract and Type of Dispute, and specifically indicate the Details of the Dispute.
  3. Should there be more than one (1) dispute found in the same Credit Report, the Consumer may file another dispute. Repeat step 3, Nos. 1 and 2.

STEP 4 - COMPLETION OF FILING A DISPUTE

  1. Once the ODRS form is accomplished and the preview of all the details entered in the ODRS is verified as correct, the filing of the dispute is complete.
  2. The Consumer shall receive a confirmation e-mail that the dispute has been filed. The selected Submitting Entity/ies shall then receive an e-mail notice informing it/them of the dispute filed by the Consumer.
